Stuur jouw gekleurde hart vóór 14 februari 2015 naar info@moromoro.nl en maak kans op een hanger uit de collectie haert4moromoro. Op Valentijnsdag wordt dit colorful event gevierd met de prijsuitreiking van het meest originele ingekleurde hart. Je mag alles gebruiken om jou hart in te kleuren. 

Deel je hart
Download het hart, print het uit en geef het kleur. Je kunt ook met een tekenprogramma in op de computer of een ander device kleuren. Je mag jouw hart zoveel je wilt ook delen met anderen.

Wil je meedoen met de wedstrijd, stuur dan jou ingekleurde hart per mail naar info@moromoro.nl, met je naam en leeftijd. Op 14 februari zal bekend worden wie de winnaar is. Deze wedstrijd wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door moromoro en MRstar. Er is geen correspondentie mogelijk over deze wedstrijd en gekleurde illustraties kunnen worden gebruikt voor publicatie.

Iemand vroeg me 'Hoe is het met het boek?'
Een goede vraag en ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat er veel tijd overheen gaat. Misschien ben ik in de valkuil van het eeuwig redigeren gevallen. Dat houdt het maken van een boek op of het maakt je onzeker.

Nog een keer wil ik dat het manuscript gelezen wordt. Dit keer puur op de inhoud vanuit antroposofisch uitgangspunt. Het manuscript wordt gestuurd naar twee antropologen, die beiden verbonden zijn met West Afrika.

Speurtocht naar Marie Jose Opper
Ik ben ook op zoek naar Marie Jose Opper. Zij is de enige auteur, die uitgebreid over parfum sieraden uit Noord en West Afrika heeft geschreven. Het is best spannend, omdat ze niet via het internet te benaderen is.
Inmiddels ben ik lid geworden van Ethnic Jewels, waar ze ook lid van is en heb haar een bericht gestuurd. Het is wel ruim 6 maanden geleden dat ze Ethnic Jewel heeft bezocht. Wordt vervolgt.

Op deze manier heb ik ook getracht om in contact te komen met Adama Bah Konare, de schrijfster van Parfums du Mali. Het is me gelukt om haar dochter te bereiken, die het boekje heeft uitgegeven. Het mailcontact heeft geen kennisdelen opgeleverd. Er was interesse om het boekje te verkopen en daarna bleef het stil.

Jammer, want ik vind het belangrijk om mensen die al onderzoek naar sieraden en parfum in Mali en Senegal hebben gedaan op de hoogte te stellen van mijn activiteiten. Het gaat hierbij niet om mij, maar meer om de documentatie van een stuk cultureel erfgoed.

Manuscript 
Nu het manuscript zo goed als af is kan het framewerk worden ingevuld, de foto's worden bewerkt en de opmaak worden uitgevoerd. Deze stappen doe ik binnen de richtlijnen van Blurb, want daar zal ik het boek laten printen. Daarbij komt er een e-book editie.

Vertalen
Tot slot is fijn als het boek vertaald gaat worden in Engels en Frans, zodat de vrouwen van West Afrika, de artiesten, maar ook vrouwen die van moromoro houden, meer informatie kunnen lezen. Tegelijk kunnen andere artiesten, musea of green fashion ontwerpen inspiratie opdoen in plantaardige keramiek.

productie

De uitvoering van het ontwerp is niet zo makkelijk. Het gaat in etappes en uiteindelijk is het niet helemaal gelukt. De hart vorm is niet het probleem, het is eerder de werkvolgorde. Wanneer is het moment daar om aan uithollen te beginnen. Uiteindelijk is dit achteraf gedaan. De onderkant kon niet helemaal bereikt worden.

vormgeving

De vorm komt voor een groot deel overeen met het ontwerp. Het prototype heeft een groter standaard. Een grappig detail is dat een van de potjes de harten verschillende kleuren kralen zijn versierd. De twee kleuren komen samen in de onderkant. Dat is goed voor de naam 'rendezvous en bas'.

Dakar heeft tijdelijk twee ateliers voor moromoro, in Guediawaye en Amitie III (op de kaart bij Mermoz).
We werken met zijn vijven aan sieraden (collectie heart4moromoro), potjes en schalen. Er is ook aandacht voor kwaliteitsverbetering van de afwerking. Wat de sluitingen betreft is dit lastig. Veel fournituren en sluitingen zijn van goedkope wegwerp kwaliteit uit China.

Team moromoro in Dakar
Daba en M'Bousso - Twee zussen en specialisten in moromoro. Ze maken potten, grote kralen en kettingen. De pittenklei kennen goed en vinden het leuk om nieuwe vormen en toepassingen uit te proberen.
Adji- Ambulant verkoopster en specialist in sieraden. Bedenker van praktische oplossingen voor sieraden. Adji interpreteert de ontwerpen op papier en brengt het over aan Daba en M’Bousso.
Tina - Assistent, visagist, tolk en helpt graag mee met de ontwerpen. Zij vindt in moromoro een uitdaging, ontmoet nieuwe mensen en kan mee  denken met het zoeken naar oplossingen.
Monique - Oprichter, ontwerper, onderzoeker en ondernemer van moromoro. De pittenklei is organisch en magisch. Het kan met de juiste aandacht, fantasie en handen, verschillende vormen krijgen. De geur is zacht zoet en neemt mij mee  naar 'the best part of Africa'.

Guediawaye and Amitié III
Dakar has temporarily two workshops for moromoro in Guediawaye and Amitié III (on the map at Mermoz). We work in a team of  five on the jewelry (collection heart4moromoro), pots and bowls. Boek
Het boek over moromoro met 125 pagina's, is visueel klaar. Voor mij is het belangrijk dat vrouwen, die eraan mee hebben gewerkt, het visuele concept zien. Niet voor commentaar, maar voor betrokkenheid en goedkeuring van de gekozen foto’s waar zij op staan. Dit laatste kan weer veranderen nu er weer veel nieuwe foto’s bij zijn gekomen.

Book
The book about moromoro is visual clear with 125 pages. For me it is important that the women who contributed to the book have a look at the concept. Not for comment, but for more involvement and approval of the selected photos of them.

Pas pour commentaire, mais pour plus d'implication et l'approbation des leur photos sélectionnées. Bien que celle-ci peut changer maintenant que j'ai fais beaucoup de nouveaux photos.
