De afgelopen twee weken zijn alle pagina's nogmaals doorgenomen. Dit keer om druk technisch tekst en beeld in de juiste formats, modes en fonts te zetten. 

Hier en daar ontbraken inleidingen, die nog erbij geschreven zijn. Achterin waren de bronvermelding op een hoop gezet en moesten uitgezocht worden. Alle linken van beeld, video en artikelen nakijken of het nog werkt.  

Appendix
De aanzet staat op papier, maar deze moet nog uitgewerkt worden. Er zijn meerdere technische tekeningen van de detarium microcarpum, maar je komt telkens op beeldrecht. Ik heb besloten om zelf een illustratie te maken van de bloeiwijze, bladeren en vrucht. Ten slotte heb ik foto's genomen van de meeste plantendelen, die als aroma bij wierook of het maken van 'pittenklei' als grondstof dienen of worden toegevoegd.

Boek in PDF
Als al het beeld in de juiste mode staat en de lagen worden weergegeven als in het lay-out, kan het boek gecomprimeerd worden in een pdf bestand. Dit bestand kan worden verstuurd om als laatste door lezers en kijkers te worden beoordeeld. Met de feedback kan de inhoud van het boek nog duidelijker worden gemaakt voor de lezers, die meer of minder met het onderwerp bekend zijn.
Het boek wordt ook bekeken door mensen, die geen Nederlands kennen. Hier is de beeldindruk doorslaggevend.

The past two weeks all the pages of the book have been looked at again. This time to control if all text and images were in the correct formats, modes and fontstype.

The appendix needed to be worked out. There are technical drawings of detarium microcarpum tree, but every time you have to mind the image rights. I have decided to make an illustration myself of the blossom, leaves and fruit of the tree. Finally, I have taken pictures of most plant parts which serve as aromatic ingredient in incense or to moromoro jewelry and pots.

Book in PDF
If all the image are in the correct mode and the layers are displayed as in the layout, the book can be compressed into a PDF file. This file can be sent to readers and viewers to be evaluated. With the feedback, the content of the book can be made better ​​for the readers.The book is also viewed by people who don't speak Dutch. Here the impression of the images has to give an impression of moromoro.

 Parfois les introductions manguent. C'etais nécessaire d'organise les références de la source. Tous les références vers les images, vidéos et articles sur l'internet avaient besoin d'un chèque, si elles travaillaient encore.

Annexe
L'annexe devait être élaboré. Il ya des dessins techniques de l'arbre de microcarpum Détarium, mais je dois avoir le droit d'utelise certain image. J'ai décidé de faire une illustration moimeme de la fleur, les feuilles et les fruits de l'arbre. Enfin, j'ai pris des photos de la plupart des parties de plantes qui servent comme ingrédient aromatique dans l'encens ou de moromoro bijoux et pots.

Livre en PDFSi tout l'image sont dans le bon mode, le livre peut être compressé dans un fichier PDF. Ce fichier peut être envoyé aux lecteurs et voyeurs à évaluer. Avec des réactions, le contenu du livre peut être amélioré pour les lecteurs. Le livre est également consulté par des personnes qui ne parlent pas le néerlandais. Iemand vroeg me 'Hoe is het met het boek?'
Een goede vraag en ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat er veel tijd overheen gaat. Misschien ben ik in de valkuil van het eeuwig redigeren gevallen. Dat houdt het maken van een boek op of het maakt je onzeker.

Nog een keer wil ik dat het manuscript gelezen wordt. Dit keer puur op de inhoud vanuit antroposofisch uitgangspunt. Het manuscript wordt gestuurd naar twee antropologen, die beiden verbonden zijn met West Afrika.

Speurtocht naar Marie Jose Opper
Ik ben ook op zoek naar Marie Jose Opper. Zij is de enige auteur, die uitgebreid over parfum sieraden uit Noord en West Afrika heeft geschreven. Het is best spannend, omdat ze niet via het internet te benaderen is.
Inmiddels ben ik lid geworden van Ethnic Jewels, waar ze ook lid van is en heb haar een bericht gestuurd. Het is wel ruim 6 maanden geleden dat ze Ethnic Jewel heeft bezocht. Wordt vervolgt.

Op deze manier heb ik ook getracht om in contact te komen met Adama Bah Konare, de schrijfster van Parfums du Mali. Het is me gelukt om haar dochter te bereiken, die het boekje heeft uitgegeven. Het mailcontact heeft geen kennisdelen opgeleverd. Er was interesse om het boekje te verkopen en daarna bleef het stil.

Jammer, want ik vind het belangrijk om mensen die al onderzoek naar sieraden en parfum in Mali en Senegal hebben gedaan op de hoogte te stellen van mijn activiteiten. Het gaat hierbij niet om mij, maar meer om de documentatie van een stuk cultureel erfgoed.

Manuscript 
Nu het manuscript zo goed als af is kan het framewerk worden ingevuld, de foto's worden bewerkt en de opmaak worden uitgevoerd. Deze stappen doe ik binnen de richtlijnen van Blurb, want daar zal ik het boek laten printen. Daarbij komt er een e-book editie.

Vertalen
Tot slot is fijn als het boek vertaald gaat worden in Engels en Frans, zodat de vrouwen van West Afrika, de artiesten, maar ook vrouwen die van moromoro houden, meer informatie kunnen lezen. Tegelijk kunnen andere artiesten, musea of green fashion ontwerpen inspiratie opdoen in plantaardige keramiek.

5 juli: manuscript bespreken met schrijverscoach. Goed gesprek met bruikbare schrijftips

14 juli: manuscript nog 35 pagina's. Minder tekst, meer informatie, dat voelt lekker.

Het researchwerk over keramiek in West Afrika is een ware ontdekking. Oude beschavingen als de Nok-cultuur uit Nigeria. De terracotta voorwerpen en sculpturen hebben allen een typische stijl en zijn van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit.

Al deze ontdekkingen houdt het schrijven spannend.
