kwekerij Fadial en moromoro

Stichting Kwekerij Fadial en moromoro stonden 16 oktober met een kraam in het Wellant college in Gorinchem, ter gelegenheid van wereldvoedseldag. 

Vier organisaties, waaronder Kwekerij Fadial, doen mee met een verkiezing. Elke organisatie wordt vertegenwoordigd door een chef kok, die samen met studenten een gerecht bereid. Vier gerechten vormen samen het werelddiner. De jury en gasten kiezen het beste gerecht. Alle vier de organisaties krijgen een bedrag mee. De winnaar krijgt een extra som.

Adopteer een boom
Het is een geslaagde avond. Tussen de gangen door presenteren de organisaties zichzelf. Kwekerij Fadial wordt in Nederland vertegenwoordigd door Mame en Jan. Bij de kwekerij kun je voor 10 euro een (fruit)boom adopteren. Je krijgt een certificaat en jaarlijkse informatie.

Moromoro sluit zich bij de doelstelling van Kwekerij Fadial aan met een specifieke fruitboom, de detarium microcarpum. Dat is de dankhe boom in Senegal. De bomen worden in en rondom het dorp Fadial geplant. Fadial ligt in de Sine Saloum in Senegal.

 

Foundation Nursery Fadial and moromoro were October 16 with a stall in the Wellant college in Gorinchem, on the occasion of World Food Day.

Four organizations, including Nursery Fadial, participate in an election. Each organization is represented by a chef cook, who along with students of the school prepared a dish. Four dishes together form the world dinner. The jury and guests choose the best dish. 

Adopt a tree
It was a successful evening. Between courses the organizations present themselves. Nursery Fadial is represented in the Netherlands by Mame and Jan. At Nursery Fadial you can adopt a (fruit) tree for 10 euros. You get a certificate and annual information.Moromoro joins the objective of Nursery Fadial with a specific fruit tree, the detarium microcarpum. That is the dankhe tree in Senegal. The trees are planted in and around the village Fadial. Fadial lies in the Sine Saloum in Senegal.

Quatre organisations, aussi fondation Fadial a participé à une élection. Chaque organisation est représentée par un chef cuisinier, qui, avec élèves ont préparés un plat. Quatre plats forment ensemble le dîner de monde. Le jury et les invités choisissent le meilleur plat.

Adoptez un arbre
Ce fut une soirée réussie. Entre les plats les organisations se présentent. Nursery Fadial est représentée aux Pays-Bas par Mame et Jan. A la ferme, vous pouvez adoptez un arbre (de fruit) pour 10 euros. Vous obtenez un certificat et d'information annuel. 
Moromoro rejoint l'objectif de la pépinière Fadial avec un arbre fruitier spécifique, le Detarium Microcarpum. C'est l'arbre de dankhe au Sénégal. Les arbres sont plantés dans et a coté de village Fadial. Fadial réside dans le Sine Saloum au Sénégal.

The Hague African Festival dag

Een mooie locatie in het hartje van Den Haag. Het zonnetje liet zich niet veel zien, maar er waren genoeg mensen die een kijkje namen en de Afrikaanse sfeer konden proeven.

Samenwerking uit zich ook in de verkoopactiviteiten. Samen met mijn vriendin Ada en haar dochter 'bemannen' we in de kraam van moromoro. Ada verkoopt haar eigen spullen en vlecht haar. Ik schilder henna erbij. Naast de geurkettingen en potjes zijn er sleutelhangers, wierook en parfum te koop. In het kader van de samenwerking met kwekerij Fadial worden er kleine probeer zakjes bissap en baobabpoeder verkocht.

Het festival wordt georganiseerd door stichting Sankofa, die nauwe banden met Ghana heeft.  De meest verkochte artikelen komen uit West Afrika. Sieraden, kleding en tassen liggen volop uitgestald, zowel in een lage prijsklassen als hoger.

In een aantal kramen worden producten verkocht vanuit een opgezet project in Afrika, zoals Product of prison. De kettingen van papieren kralen uit Uganda, worden gemaakt door vrouwen, in gevangenschap.Projecten in het zuiden van Senegal worden mogelijk gemaakt door Mapat, zoals een kraamkliniek. Adamfo Ghana richt zich op straatkinderen en jongeren in Ghana.

Vanaf het podium klinken in de middag bekende geluiden. Sabar en tama spelen ene Senegalees ritme. Dat moet ik zien. Heel leuk om dan een aantal bekende muzikanten hun ding te zien doen op het podium. En dan is het genieten.

The Hague African Festival day
A beautiful location in the heart of The Hague. The sun showed itself little, but there were plenty of people who visit  the African festival.

Cooperation activities of moromoro is also reflected in the sales. Together with my friend Ada we are in the booth moromoro. Ada sells its own stuff and braids hair. I paint henna. Besides the typical moromoro products as smell chains and parfumed potterie, incense and perfume are for sale. Within the framework of cooperation with foundation Fadial, are small packetches of bissap and baobab powder sold.

The festival is organized by Sankofa Foundation, which has close ties with Ghana. The most popular items are from West Africa. Jewelry, clothing and bags are fully displayed, both in low and higher price ranges.
A number of products are sold from foundations, that set up projects in Africa.

The sound from the stage in the afternoon is familiar. Sabar and tama play a Senegalese rhythm. I gotta see. Very nice to see and play, a number of musicians that I know, together on stage. Then I just enjoy.

Le jour du The Hague African Festival.
Un bel emplacement au cœur de La Haye. Le soleil se montrait pas souvat, mais il y avait beaucoup de personnes qui visite le festival Africain.

La coopération de moromoro est également reflétée dans les activités de vente. Avec ma copine Ada,  nous sommes dans le moromoro stand. Ada vend ses propres trucs et tresser les cheveux. Je peins aussi henné. Autre produits de moromoro sont les chaînes d'odeur et bocaux sont porte-clés, de l'encens et de parfum. Dans le cadre de la coopération avec le foundation Fadial, on avons vendu des petits sachets de bissap et de poudre de baobab.

Le festival est organisé par la Fondation Sankofa, qui a des liens étroits avec le Ghana. Les articles les plus populaires sont l'Afrique occidentale, les bijoux, vêtements et sacs sont entièrement affichées, tant dans les gammes de prix faibles et élevés. Plusiuers foundations sont represente et vendent des produits Africain.

Dans l'après-midi il y a la musique familier. Sabar et tama jouent un rythme sénégalais. Je dois voir. Très agréable d'avoir un certain nombre de musiciens je connais joue ensemble au podium.
