Rokia Traore

Vrijdag 7 maart 2012 was ik bij het concert van Rokia Traore en even terug in Mali. Rokia zong voornamelijk nummers ven het album 'beautiful Africa'.

Bij het nummer 'Samara' vertelde Rokia dat het een tribute is voor de vrouwen van Mali. Het is een prachtig nu nummer waarin Rokia a capella zingt en ik ademloos naar heb geluisterd. Het nummer is heel toepasselijk voor 'vrouwendag', dat vandaag is.

Een andere boodschap ging over dankbaarheid. Ook al ben je nog zo getalenteerd, zonder andere mensen om je heen wordt je niet succesvol. Ze illustreerde dit met haarzelf. Ze heeft muzikanten nodig, een manager, een geluidsman, iemand die de belichting doet, mensen bij de platen maatschappij en natuurlijk publiek. Mooi gesproken.

Na het concert een CD gekocht die Riokia signeerde, op de foto en volgens Afrikaanse gebruiken bood ik haar een moromoro ketting aan. Natuurlijk wist ze hoe je het sieraad gebruikt. 


On Friday, March 7, 2012 I was at the concert of Rokia Traore. The music took me back to Mali. Rokia sang mainly songs from her album 'beautiful Africa.

Rokia mentioned by the song "Samara"  that it's a tribute to the women of Mali. It's a beautiful song where Rokia sings a cappella. I've listened breathless. The song is very appropriate for 'Women's Day', which is today.

Another message was about gratitude. Even though you are talented, you need other people around you to be(come) successful. She illustrated this with her own singing career. She needs musicians, a manager, a sound man, someone who does the lighting, people at the record company and of course public. Beautiful spoken.

After the concert, I bought the CD. Riokia signed on the inside of the CD book. I gave her, according to African customs, a moromoro chain. Of course, she knew how to use the chain.

Le vendredi 7 Mars 2012, j'ai été au concert de Rokia Traoré. La musique m'a ramené au Mali. Rokia chante principalement des chansons de son album 'beautiful Africa'.
Par la chanson "Samara" Rokia mentionné qu'il s'agit d'un hommage aux femmes du Mali. C'est une belle chanson où Rokia chante a capella. J'ai écouté et ca me touche profond. La chanson est très approprié pour la Journée de la femme », qui est aujourd'hui.

Un autre message de Rokia d'etre reconnaissant . Même si vous êtes talentueux, vous avez besoin d'autres personnes autour de vous pour avoir succès. Elle a illustré cela avec sa propre carrière comme chanteuse. Elle a besoin de musiciens, un gestionnaire, quelqu'un qui fait l'éclairage, les gens de la maison de disques et surement la public.

Après le concert, j'ai acheté le CD. Rokia signé à l'intérieur de l'ouvrage de CD. Je lui ai donné, selon les coutumes de l'Afrique, une chaîne de moromoro. Bien sûr, elle savait comment utiliser la chaîne.
